Like the title says I have $650 to spend.. What would you do if your car were virtually stock? I’m looking for HP. I have suspension work and all the goodies I like as far as looks... but the power is still stock except for a K&N intake. Is it better to get a bunch of little things like TB and Plenum, pulleys etc. or spend it on cams.. I haven’t looked at prices so for all I now I could get all that was mentioned. But I’m more interested on what more experienced people have to say.. I don’t mind spending it all on a single item if it will give me what I’m looking for.. HP :nice:

Thanks in advance

that is one thing i was thinking about and was planning on getting them if i had anything left over from getting some HP. its not an expensive upgrade and would much rather spend what i have now $650 on actual HP..

thats one think i never did get into.. NOS just seems like fake HP to me.. sorry if i insulted you or anybody.. just looking for real HP coming from the engine and not from a bottle.

LOL thats funny no insult taken here , look at my sig , im blown , but nitrous is believe me NOT FAKE HP , HP is HP no matter how you make it , i just figured 650 bucks is definitely the right amount of $$ , I would like to see more mustangs make some LS1 owners shut up , they all believe in jumping on us GT owners and I figured if more of us jug then those pesky LS1 owners might start thinking twice

If horsepower is what you're looking for then headers are the way to go, given what you already have on there.

Cams would also be a good idea if you can get a price on them that lets you get them installed too.

yeah the full length flowtechs are definitely in this price range . about 25 rwhp and 30 rwtq . you can get them here cheap

www.summitracing.com
part numbers
ceramics 12115-1FLT $347

Are those proven numbers? I was looking to get a set of long tubes for my GT but I wasnt exactly sure what the typical gains were. What if you have the stock mid pipe on there and not an o/r mid? I want to be able to pass inspection and need the cats.

if you wanna keep the cats , spend the extra money and get the BBK full lengths and matching midpipe with cats . they do cost more but its worth it

thanks for all the help it seems like everybody for the amount of money im looking to spend and with my current mods that i should go with headers.. BBK long tubes with X o/r pipes would be my choice..

any other ideas for 650? what about a chip? if i spend a little more would i get more HP out of a chip or cams something like that?

huh? realy well if i go that rout then i would have some cash left right? im sure they dont cost $650. maybe gears i was thinking of 3.72 and a plenum would be around that price..
what do you think?
