66 Conv Part Search - Please help

Hello,

I searched a few places already for the boot rail that mounts on the metal panel behind the rear seat. Does anyone know what the correct name for this rail is (Not the rail with snaps on the body.. already got that)? And who offers this part? A part number would be greatly appreciated!

No one "offers" it, because the boot retainer is not available new. You'll have to call around for a used one, from Glazier/Nolan, Perogie, etc. They were all the same 64-68, and the 69-70 is actually the same, except has only half as many holes.

I'm always surprised at how many people need these. Being stainless steel, they should last forever. But, they get lost, stepped on, etc.

Thanks for the information..

In this case, the part was lost. My grandfather had the mustang restored inside and out. I will continue hunting for it.
