It's been about 7 months since my last post and I year since the cars was sent to paint. Well the car is finally painted and assembly has begun. I'll post some pics as we go to keep ya up to speed. The paint looks fantastic and these pics dont do it justice. The car has not been buffed yet and really dosen't appear to need it

that engine looks pretty far off the firewall...similar to where mine sat before I cut and re-welded my mounts and moved it back(where it is in my avatar pic)...does the stock oil filter setup fit?

it also looks like it might be a touch lower than mine...how is your steering rack to pan clearance?(mine is maybe 1/16" clearance as it sits now)

I positioned it so I could keep the shifter location the same. It does set a little bit lower than most I've looked at. I used a mark 8 pan and modified it to lower the engine a bit. It's bout a 1/16 as wells.

Thanks Kilgorq. It means a lot when people that appreciate Mustangs and have seen a lot of them pay you a complament. Good luck with yours

Very nice! Congratulations on a very well done car. Your panel alignment looks great, and that doesn't happen by accident.. ( right?) I like the fact that you're staying true to the original GT ques- IE exhaust location, fog lights etc... nice touch on the 4.6 emblems as well. Once question I have is about your hydroboost mount. I'm undecided on what to do with mine; my thought was to get a junkyard firewall section and cut and scab it into my firewall, which is hacked up from the PO trying to put a different booster in anyway. Did you just make your own or use one from the donor?

I cant wait to see this car finished! What state are you in? I'm going to eventually try to collect as many 4.6 early Mustangs as I can for some photos when mine is farther along.

KT.
