My son just bought himself a 1966 coupe and the rotor is missing the clip to hold it in place therefore the car won't stay running. I am currently stationed in Iraq as a Medevac Pilot flying the southern part of the country up to Baghdad so I can't go around from place to place to find the part. He's not having any luck so far so I thought I would try this forum.
If anyone knows where I could get one I would be very greatful. This is his first car and is doing most of the work himself. He is 15 and is looking at doing a restoration on it so that it will be ready next summer when he can get his liscence.
Thanks in advance

The rotor... do you mean the metal piece on top of the rotor to gather the spark from the coil wire, or the clips on the side of the distributor cap to hold the cap down securely. Either way, autozone carries rotors and points for the car, and they can order your son a rebuilt distributor for about 70 bucks complete with points installed. The distributor I got from autozone was a quality rebuilt ford unit, I was happy with it.

I am still unsure of what you mean by the clip to hold the rotor in place.
