66 Door Shells HELP!!!

I have stripped my car down to metal...100%.
Car is in great shape except for doors. The front inside bottoms are cancer ridden, several dents on the inside surface,holes cut out for speakers and neon lights, and the factory dimpling must have been sanded smooth by previous body work. I want to replace the doors, however, I have heard nothing but horror stories about aftermarket doors not fiting.
Can anyone suggest a vendor or brand of 66 Door shells that fit and line up properly?

I DONT THINK ANYONE MAKES DOORS with Ford tooling yet, so your stuck with the crap repos, so if you close to a mustang store and your door dont fit, well then take it back and dont give up, dont fall for the line that your car is twisted or saging and thats why it dont fit, we all hear that line.

way more cost efficient and better quality to just fix your stockers. Trust me, I just finished this mess. I have 2 65-66 doors that are repros and they dont fit for *$&$. Pissed me off, I eventually just fixed the old ones. Im using the door shells for patches. Not even worth payin for or messin with the repros. I think you would be better off spending $400 on a pro bodyshop to repair the doors... atleast theyd fit before you spend $400 on the repro doors and $2-300 fitting the damn things

That's the truth.

Spend the money you'd spend on the door shells fixing your original ones or find some used ones.

Seems like there is a consensus here! I will tell you that the retailer that I usually buy from said that there is " no such thing as a Ford Tooling door shell." In fact "they are all made overseas and none of them fit"
Looks like the prefered option is to go with the originals.

With the problems you list, especially with the grain sanded off the interior, I would recommend that you try to find some Ford doors from parted-out cars, rather than trying to fix yours. Restoring the grain pattern on the inside is darned near impossible.. There are a couple of vendors on the internet that have parts cars. And: 65 and 66 are identical. That makes it easier.

in NPD catalog they adverttise their doors as "finally in a form that fits and functions beautifully" - I was considering getting for my 70 - any one get a new set from thate lately?
