Ordered my conversion kit from drum to disc for my '66. 289 v8 motor. I ordered the Scott Drake kit from CJPony. When getting started, the rotors and bearings do not fit the factory spindles. Just thought maybe it was a v6 originally but it has 5 lugs. What else could it be if not just the wrong rotors and bearings??

post some pictures. Should have been a pretty basic bolt on. That is the value of conversion kit. I got the Wilwood Classic front discs from CJ and except for having to drill out the spindles for the larger bolts, it was a pretty simple bolt on. Sounds like you have something else going on. Is your 66 a V8 car from the factory? I never looked it up but I would assume the spindles are standard in 1966.
