66 Mustang upper A- arm bushings

I am replacing the upper a -arm bushings on my 66 and the threads where the bushings screw in are stripped in the control arm and the new bushing will not tighten down.
Does anyone know of any kind of repair for this or do I have to buy new upper a-arm's ?

the best thing to do is get new upper arms, however you can tack weld the upper bushings in place. just becareful of the amount of heat you use.

You can get a whole new reproduction upper control arm assembly for about $90.00. It includes new bushings and balljoint. Don't mess with stripped threads...

Just make sure those repros are as strong as originals. I`ve heard of repros wich are not as thick as originals. I stayed with my originals and boxed them...
