I'm going to buy a 67-69 Mustang. I'm trying to find out as many differences as possible between the three years (besides outside styling). Considering the front suspension, what are the differences between these three years. Is any one of them better than the other?

When looking at Mustang Depot's site, I saw 67 listed separately from 68-69 when picking front end parts. That leads me to believe that the 68-69 share the same pieces. What is different. Would a 68-69 front end upper control arm / spindle joint let me run late model wheels? I have my Ford Racing 2000 Cobra R wheels I wanted to run on the car, from my 2000 GT I just sold. From what I've read here, they'll barely fit on the back...but not on the front. I have found some replica companies that make smaller versions of my wheels I could possibly run up front. Would installing an aftermarket front end, such as coil-overs, help this?

I'm not dead set on installing these wheels, but I'd like to if possible. I'm a little attached to them...plus it would be something different than what most others are running. I'm trying to be as informed as possible before I decide what year to get and make the jump.

Thanks!

Don't go by those listings, I know for a fact that the 67-68's share parts and the 69-70's share parts. 68-69's have almost nothing in common.

As far as the wheels are concerned, you will probably have a hard time getting them on any classic, but the 69 would be your best bet.
