What do you guys & gals think? I was just planning on making a few for cars I'm working on here, but the first one came out so nice that I'm thinking of making a batch and putting them on the market.

Pricing would be similar to what's already out there, but with a way shorter lead time.

Definitely a great idea! The product looks great and it will give everyone a nice alternative to the other company.

I was drooling over the JME one for a while before i made my own. I was suprised by the cost of the materials. I have well over $500 into mine just for gauges and repro bezel, that does not include time (i work cheap...LOL) and wiring either.

Just saying there was not as much cost savings in doing it myself as I thought.

I was going to do my own before I bought from JME but the cost of the gauges and bezels was so close to the finished cost it was not worth it. JME also gives the added ease of wiring and instructions. The only way they are making a worthwhile profit is if they are getting discounts from Autometer and have a high markup on their bezels (which are the nicest around for 67 brushed aluminum). That being said, I trashed them in the talk section for their business practices.

Go for it: I just got mine after an eleven month wait! Did you buy one from JME to see how it was done? If so, expect a lawsuit due to the clause on the receipt.
I can absolutely honestly say that I have never seen a JME cluster or any other aftermarket brand for that matter. I have no idea how they do theirs. I couldn't wait for a year or whatever, so I decided to make it myself and this is what I came up with. What does the clause on the receipt say?

Alright, I'm getting heaps of emails -- pretty soon it'll be a year wait!!! :p :p j/k

Here's what you've got to tell me though:
1) year
2) standard or deluxe bezel
3) mechanical or electronic speedo
4) what aux. gauges you want (fuel, oil pressure, water temp standard)
5) black or white face

***Electronic speedo requires that you use an electronic sending unit like late-models with computers have. The mechanical speedo uses your existing speedo cable***

Please email to [email protected] so I don't accidentally miss an inquiry mixed in with the posts here.

Thanks!
