I have a 67 GTA fastback S code that was built Sept 66.The brake lines were not installed when I got the car so I am trying to figure out how they all hooked up.The proportioning valve was still mounted on the car to the floorboard just forward of the drivers seat.I am seeing there are 2 different style line kits for pre 2/67 and post.I got the pre 2/67 but they dont seem to line up with the proportioning valve location.I read about the valve at the rear axle and under the hood but cant find anything for it being under the car.thanks

You have the wrong lines. The early car had the prop valve at the rear axle, the later car, yours, had it near the master cylinder. Under the car sounds like something done by Bubba.

Does your prop valve look like this?

The Proportioning valve was either mounted above the rear end, in the brake line before the rubber/flex line, or later , beside the H Block, on the left rear apron.

So, you need to figure out which, Early, or late to order the Brake lines you will need to conform to either.

Since my car was built 9/66 per marti report I would assume I would need the early lines (before 2/67) which is what I ordered and it is 2 lines that they call the intermediate lines and the prop valve should be at the rear Axle.Does this sound correct?
