67 Mustang rear glass ( Mottling Symtom)

I have recently purchased new tinted rear glass for Pinkleton, very stong mottling issue with the glass noticable now that glass is in the car. Has anyone else come across this. Glass manufacture says new tempering process causes this and is difficult to find one glass these days that will not have this trouble.

Sounds like manufacturing defect hooey. But who else will make a new one? You may be stuck with what is out there, new or used. Sorry.

I do glass for a living. Its a crap answer. I'd send it back and demand a refund and get glass from another supplier. Like PPG

If you mean is there a checkerboard pattern when viewed in sunlight, this is fairly normal, even for original glass. You should see my 66 FB rear glass in the sun, especially if wearing polarized sunglasses.
