Yes. All those body kit pieces take so much time to prep. So much work for not a lot of paint.

Doors, hatch and hood are on. Manage to do it all without a scratch.
No real issues. Got everything lined up, fitting well and closing properly.
Also used some button head cap screws for the door handles instead of the rivets.
Going to do some work on the mirrors and quarter windows next. Then focus on the rest of the large pieces (fenders and bumpers).

Really happy with how the quarter windows look. Have about $100 in material and a weeks worth of work in them. Much better than $450 windows from LMR that don’t have the mustang lettering.
Tomorrow, the front bumper and side skirts will get painted. Then a cut and buff on the hood and fenders.
The door moldings won’t be painted tomorrow. I’m pulling the crappy tape from LMR off and putting some good 3M tape on. Those will be the last items I’ll paint and install.

Thanks. I’m happy with them. They’re not perfect. Wasn’t able to keep the litttle character line that runs across the top. But as stated before, much better than the alternatives.
Applied a thin coat of bumper repair filler. Sanded that. Then multiple coats of high build primer. Then a final coat of trim black.

Yep. That’s it. The camera on my phone doesn’t really do the the color justice. If you’ve seen one at your dealership, you know how it looks in person.
Yep, I used bumper repair material as well, and lost the character line but Im fine with that.
Haven’t posted any updates due to a significant setback. More on that later.
In preparation of final assembly, I wanted to wet sand and polish the fenders and hood. They had quite a few dirt inclusions and I’d rather correct them prior to, what is essentially, permanently sticking the cobra side skirts on.
The fenders came out awesome.
Was progressing on the hood and disaster struck.
There was two dust nibs there that I sanded down with 2000. Then hit it real quick with the buffer. Still not quite sure how this happened. The buffer was there for maybe 5 seconds max.
Obviously had to fix that area and repair the hood. After 10 days of prep, repair, repaint and final buff, I’m very happy and relieved to say that it turned out perfect.

I built an enclosure that fits the garage door opening and holds three 20” fans. The door then closes on top.
Then the side windows are open (and filtered) as a source of fresh air. The fans do a pretty decent job of pulling the overspray out.
I also placed filters in front of the fans to avoid over spray on my and the neighbors cars. The fans are actually marginal air flow wise. As the filters clog up, they can’t pull the overspray out of the shop. When spraying a lot of paint, I have to change filters between the base and clear coats. I may have to rethink this when I paint the 67.
