trying to install the rear tail lamps with the original housing and new gaskets. The new gasket is so thick that the mounting studs on the bezels dont make it all the way through to the housing, in other words i cant fasten the nuts cause the studs wont protrude through the housing. The taillamp panel is not the original and i noticed there is metal that is sticking out where they stamped the lens holes, which is also making the gasket and housing unable to seat flush to the panel. Do i need to grind off that metal around the lens holes? Do i need to trim the thick gasket? Please advise Thanks.
