hey guys check this thing out, it is apparently a real R code mach that was in very nice original shape to begin with and these guys are cutting it up to restomod it with an art morrison max g chassis.

i like the idea of the max g chassis, but i'm kind of sickened by the fact that they are using a real R code to build it

Uggh. What a waste. An R code in what looks to be fantastic shape, going to get butchered.

Anyone own a rust free 69 H code? - call them and see if its too late to swap cars!

Somebody is mistaken. Art Morrison doesn't make a Max-G frame for Mustangs [trust me, I talked to them before I started on my 'vert]. If you look at the suspension on that frame, it is clearly using the MII setup, not the aluminum corvette parts.

See the difference:

vs this, from the Art Morrison site:

It may not be a Max G chassis, but I bet it's from Morrison.

It does appear to be a Morrison chassis...but the MaxG is the much more serious front suspension. Forged aluminum 'vette arms and such. Longer arms than the MII setup = better camber curve and other such benefits.

Check out page 13 of the AME catalog. MaxG for muscle cars.

Choice of Corvette C5 or AME's IFS front suspension.

it's their car, but some poor Sportsroof is being robbed!

like I said over on 69stang about this, it's their car but it's a real tragedy that they're not using some '69 Sportsroof that needs rescuing for this project.

I hope they take it to a track and get humbled by a Trans Am style Boss 302.
