I am restoring a 69 F/B and I am getting the windshield installed next week. I am unsure how the bottom molding will be retained. Currently the cowl has no hardware on the windshield side to retain it or the windshield molding. Am I missing some hardware, and if not, how does the molding stay in place? How does the cowl not flop around? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The trim has a 4 brackets that slide into each lower trim pieces & a foam block that is glued to the cowl on each side. The brackets once sid into the trim piece "clip" onto the back of the cowl pannel to support. Not a real good picture but:

the clips screw into these holes...

i think there is 6 total....

a shot of the clip....

you should also have a piece fo foam on each side to "give support to the cowl or i imagine it would rattle....

who took my cowl???

Plus there is one that is attached to the outer edges that screws in from the gap behind the front fender (open the door and you'll see it)
