After lagging for a long time installing my new headliner,I have a question about where it meets the sail panels. Is the idea to install the headliner so that it tucks behind the sail panels then stick the back of the sail panels to the headliner (which itself is stuck down or tucked in ?)
If someone can take a pic or two of how it is meant to look that would be a great help as i cant seem to find a pic on google of what it is meant to look like
I have the sail panels installed but they kind of stick out at the top,(see pic at link below) it seems the only way to hold them back would be to glue them to the headliner once that is in place and stuck in.

thanks.

If you look at the top left of the pic,you can see that the curved bit of the sail panel kind of hangs down. What do i do with that bit. Tuck it back round itself or just stick it flat against the headliner once in place?

This is the only pic I have on photobucket that shows the headliner on the sail panel:

I believe that that is an original factory installed headliner. I'll check to see if I have some better pics at home tonight.

The sail panel, in the middle of the curved portion at the top-front, is held in place with a single door panel clip. Your clip is still there, torn from the sail panel. It was held onto the sail on a small piece of cardboard with a D shaped hole, glued to the backside. The clip pushes into the D hole.

By the way that pic isn't mine, but I'll check mine to see if there is a clip hidden away behind it. Don't recall one though

Thanks for the post Rumbles. My 69 FB was missing the sail panels when I got it. So ordered new ones. But cant find the hockey sticks that hold the bottom in. Anyone know the real name of the hockey sticks and where to get them.

I can't be sure, but I think Dynacorn makes a repro set, #M3548P, that includes the two pieces you describe, and the two rear corners. You can order them from Glazier Nolan, but GN might also have used originals.
