Engine is out of a torino and needing to complete the exhaust the opening is facing the clutch fork with only a few inchesi between.Anyone ever face this prob?.....
I modified the Z bar and the linkage to the clutch fork. The welds holding the short arm of the z-bar was carefully ground down until they it came free from the bar, then it was flipped around so it was offset the opposite direction and welded back on. The link from the z-bar to the clutch fork was then fabricated in a z-pattern as well. Worked for many years without a problem. The clearance was tight, but it worked without any interferance. I also reinforced the top part of the z-bar to prevent it from bending under higher clutch loads from a stronger clutch.
You got it right yellow mach, it's me.All I can say is I will treat her right. When my son gets back from the sandbox as he calls it he won't sniff the 69 from behind the wheel untill he cuts his teeth on the 62 Impy SS.Did you connect with Carl? Besides having 69 parts he seems to want to help anyone putting a big block together. He sounded interested your brothers r-code.
