Can anyone tell me the correct locations for the rocker molding clips for 1969?
I Also need to know if the top should be flush with the bottom of the door?My fastback never had them but I bought a set from NPD and of course there are no instructions. I've looked at several mustang pics on the internet but haven't found a good one with the molding on it. I think that if I just space the 8 clips evenly it would work but I'd like to do it right. When I finish I'll post pics of my car. You can go see it now at www.cardomain.com/id/mw69stang

Rocker moulding

The top edge of the moulding should be 1/4 inch below the edge of the door opening. It should not matter where you locate the clips as they cannot be seen after the moulding is installed. In addition there is a stud on the front (leading edge) of the moulding which is secured by a nut in the wheel well.

You know I guessed that stud to be in the back. I would hate to drill into the car and find out I guessed wrong. But the job sounds easy enough. thanks for the reply.

btw Your car looks perfect now and I hope you never get rid of it, good work.

Not to be a wise @#$, just go to the dealership or reputable body shop.
I had the same problem, no experience, no tools, no directions. I went to the
Ford dealership and they had a guy there familiar with my 66 (which had no
rocker panel moldings originally). He had them installed in less than an hour.
Great job great price. Some things are best left to the experts!
