I'm trying to find a supplier for steering gear bearings. Wonderin' if anyone out there can steer me in the right direction. I'm trying to find the sector gear bearings. Thanx! Tom [email protected]

What is the size of your steering gear sector shaft? I remember rebuilding my steering box for my 65. I got the 1in shaft bushings for mine, yours is probably the 1-1/8in shaft. These are actually bushings you are looking for correct?
Here are some numbers for the 1in shaft that you can use when ordering Upper - C4DZ-3576-A, Lower - C3DZ-3576-A.
1-1/8in shaft numbers are Upper - C4DZ-3576-b, Lower - C1DZ-3576-B
Sorry it was quite awhile ago but I remember just getting most of my stuff from a local bearing shop (Commercial Bearing & BC Bearing). Hope this helps
p.s. I looked in my file and I actually got some of my stuff from Ford Parts. They still had the upper bushing and a seal on the books, they were special order.

Thought I saw rebuild kits available from CJ's or one of the other Mustang specialty suppliers. HAve you checked any of these sources?
