6al Digital Ignition Wiring? Tune?

what all needs to be done / tuned if I put in a Msd 6al Digital ignition controller.do I just disconnect the stock one do I have to get the computer tuned? the old controller was telling the computer it cant control spark at high rpm so its bad.

aall depends how the old was was ooked up. mins is hard wired, som simply use a piggyback harness to bypass the stock ignition. might need to dig in a little bit there

The most common method is to just interupt the circuit to the ignition coil with the Digital 6. Works great, and easy to wire. No tuning of the computer is required.

Yeah, no tune required. It's just giving you a hotter spark than the factory ignition. Timing events and everything else remain the same.
