I went to check out a 70 Mustang (supposed to be a Mach 1)

but the pics I saw on the dealer site weren't quite as good as in person ....

the description of the car is

"Mach I, 351, “05” Body Code, Mag 500’s, Spoilers, Louvers, Stock, Nice Body & Paint, Drives Excellent, Automatic, Power Steering."

Here's the pics I got from the dealer:

well I went

to say the least, the car was a disappointment

both quarters were full of bondo

the rear wheel wells looked like someone took undercarriage paint and slapped it on thick with a paint brush

not to mention, its not the right color paint

(and I've never seen a Mach 1 with white stripes ... am I wrong or was there other colors besides black stripes ???)

I dont guarantee this to be right since its from my '68 shop manual:

0T05H106984

0 = 1970 model
T = Metuchen assembly plant
05 = ? (body serial code)
H = ? (engine code)
106984 = consecutive unit number

The engine in that pic is a Windsor of some kind.

if the car is full of bondo and you dont think its worth it, than the price is too high. but if it really is a mach 1 and stuff is correct, its obviously worth it. since its a dealer, they are probably just trying to get some dumb*%$ to buy it without knowing whats really going on. its worth it to a dealer to buy a thousand dollar maaco paint job to sell a car for 10 thousand more dollars. i have been the dumbass before. :bang: move on, its sounds like u know what your looking for.
