70 Mach1 Rear Sway Bar Diameter?

Anyone know what the size is for a 1970 Mach 1 rear sway?

Close to 5/8", plus or minus. Same as Boss 302 rear bar.

If I already have a 1" front sway bar, should I go with the original 5/8" that came from the car or should I go with the 7/8". I can only get a 7/8" aftermarket rear sway bar that uses the original mounting plates. All other aftermarket sizes mount on the leaf spring which I do not care for. I know the suggested size combo's are 1" and 3/4 or 1 1/8" and 7/8". Which of the combo's would work better for me? 1" and 7/8" or 1" and 5/8"?

I am using the 7/8 in the rear on mine.
and it keeps my rear from swinging.

uses the stock mounting holes on the subframe and spring plates.

Is the original Mach rear sway bar 1/2" or 5/8"? I have heard both.
