i have a bbk 70mm tb on my 02 gt right now and am wondering if i might get better gains if i up'd it up to the 75mm. I have the C&L plenum too. I orignally got the 70mm cuz i was told the 75 is for real modded engines like if they are blown or with nitrous. Mine only has minor mods so i figured the 70mm would be fine, but now im hungry for more and i wanna know if the 75mm is gonna hurt me or give me good gains. any input is appreciated thanks guys

The tests on ModularDepot showed that the 75 might be worth a couple of HP, unless you are gonna start throwing serious mods on the car, the 70 will work just fine.

I think it's only worth a hp or 2. probably not worth the $$ for the 75mm TB

i would not move up to a 75mm if i were you. as you mentioned a 75mm is really only efficient when using a power adder. do a search as i am pretty sure people say that they lost low end torque by using a 75mm setup on a fairly stock set-up. BTW: what mods do u have now?

I don't know what sort of gains you would see, but the C&L plenum is intended to be used with a 75mm TB.

If my engine is fairly stock, but I plan on adding a blower down the line- like two years down the line- should I still go with the 75mm- or do 70mm now and switch to 75mm when I add the blower???

Well that depends on you. Do you want to spend the money now to get the 70mm throttle body then in 2 years buy the 75mm or do you want to have a little bit of hp lose now and buy the 75mm but save money in the long run?

Lose HP? My car is doing fine with the 75mm unit.

On stock cars most people say the 75mm throttle body is to big and u will lose hp. 290 rwhp like your car is not stock. I have heard that 75mm throttle body is fine even for stock cars but I havent seen dyno graphs compared between the two on a stock GT so I couldnt say for sure either way.

All the test performed by the magazines and the other forums shows the C&L Plenum works best with a 75mm TB on mildly modded cars.
