71/72 front valance

Will a front valance from a 71/72 Mustang bolt up to a car with 73 fender? Aside from the fact that the 71/72 has the turn signals mounted on it, are the dimensions the same?

Not sure about valance

The 73 has longer fenders due the safety bumper added this year but I'm not sure if the valance is different. Sorry.

Tough call. I'd say they are interchangable, though I've never had cause to try it. Dimensionally they appear identical. The only difference I can see (other than the signal lights you mentioned) is larger clearance recesses provided on the 73 valance to clear the larger bumper mounting brackets, though I don't expect that would be a real issue.

The 73 valance actually has extended tabs where the signal lights would (could) be, as if their deletion was an afterthought - or the 71-72 tooling was used to make it.

I agree. I have a 72 and 73 parts cars in my back yard and the valances look identical. I wouldn't, however, bet my life on it though.

the valence will bolt right up without any problem. i've done it on my car.
