SO, my new to me, 72 Mach 1, 351c 4v has arrived. I knew there was a carb issue, though, not quite as bad as I thought. It currently has a Holley double pumper, which introduces a slight stumble off idle. The carb appears quite new, and the person I bought it from also sent along the original, which he said needs a rebuild. My question is, Am I best off to rebuild the original? or should I splurge on a new Edelbrock, either 600 or 650? The car does have tubed headers. One of the things I do not like about the present carb, besides the stumble, is the manual choke. Thanks for any advice.
