First let me say hello as I am new to the forum,
We just bought a 1972 Mustang Sprint hardtop coupe
351c cid 2v according to the Vin but the drivers door information plate list it as 351 H.O.
Now IF the car is all original and it appears to be that, as the paint shows the same amount of wear uniformaly over the entire body of the car. why would they not corrospond on the engine info? Or am I just that big of a newbie again ? LOL It has been quite a few summers ago since I last rebuilt an engine. LOL

In either case we are wanting to built a street cruiser, we realize that it's gonna take time to get everything we want done to the car but it's a work in progress

It is unlikely that your Sprint came with an HO, it's possible the door was replaced along the way. According to this Sprint registry most were 2V 351's and few were Q code 351's. Here is the link: http://www.1972mustangsprint.com/
