I read an article about around 44 'Verts made in '78. This looks like a conversion maybe?

Yes it was a "coach custom". Meaning an aftermarket company like the ones who do limos did it. Notice the "Galpin Ford" license? Notibly lacking in detail... Not to sure what they are trying to hide with the paint scheme. The TV antenna and rear spoiler would be first to go!

$12,000 for a v-6 vert II and a 5" TV? That's hard to pass up......how much without the TV?

I'm not a fan of the black/white either. Looks like it's probably covering stuff up...

The part of the top we can see actually looks better than I expected.

The 44 were done in '77 by Emmiss (?) Coachbuilders out of Florida, and all use the Ghia rear quarter window as part of the top. This one seems to have a "porthole" window of some sort.

Wish they had had more detail...
