I have a '89 with a stock intake I have a chance to get a 75MM throttle body and EGR spacer for cheap. I am wondering will cause more problems than what its worth in a stock intake? If so no biggie I will move on to the next Mod!

not worth it on a stock intake, it will create too much turbulance and actually slow down the incoming air....

You can...

A) Buy it and set it on the shelf until you get a new intake.

-OR-

B) Buy it and hog out the stock intake opening to "port match" the 75mm TB/EGR. (I did this for years but with a 70mm TB/EGR.)

-OR-

C) Don't buy it.

What Rick said is right, if you just buy it and slap it on there without "port matching" your intake, it will offer no gain and may even hurt performance.

Would be nice, but there's not enough material on the intake to work with. I actually tried hogging out one of mine to a true 65mm. Fine for about the first inch, then broke through the damn thing and turned it into a boat anchor after that.

Do you have pics? Like I said, I was able to do it with a 70mm TB. Maybe I got lucky...? What did you break through?

No, no pics, I just chucked it and grabbed another one from the pile of parts I had at the time. I broke through the side walls of the intake where in venturi's into the runners. I probably could have just blended the spacer and left it at that, but I figured there was no sense in enlarging the inlet if I wasn't going allow it to breath all the way through.

Sucks too....I really liked that intake. I had it colour match to my car and everything.
