76 maverick spindles on a 69?

74-77 Maverick/Comet and 75-80 Granada/Monarch. Get the spindles and proportioning valve. The calipers are good only as cores ($1-$5) and the rotors are likely trash. Be sure that the pins (the axle stub) isn't spun or corroded. If the wheels were off the donor, then the shields are likely trashed from sitting on the ground and the pins are probably corroded.

Pay attention to torque specs on reassembly and you will have a safe and effective set of brakes. I have a basic install guide posted to my website. See the menu frame on my catalog page.

I have yet to put the 66 to the road but the install was just what you would expect to do. I was replacing all the brakelines so I was able to run them as I needed for the Maverick. My advise is make sure you get everything, like the mounting pins and various bolts. makes it easier. The only mod was trimming the turning stops. The only downside is you can't run factory mustang rims. The center hole is too small for the Maverick stuff. BTW the calipers were about $12 new from autozone with no core charge, so go new.

You can have about 1/8" of the outer diameter of the bearing snout on the Granada rotors removed at a good machine shop. I had this done at the same time I had the rotors surfaced. Cost about $30.00 altogether.
