Wondering if anyone has found a steering u joint that fits the bottom of a Mustang II column. It is a weird looking stub on the end. I want to run aftermarket steering shaft and joints.

Hey, perhaps you can have a look into this post.
I used the DD-profile on the other end, but you should be able to use it also at the end of the column...
Grinding "manualy" worked perfect for me.
Or you weld an u joint onto the column end...

By the way: nice build!

Yeah I thought about welding or modifying a 3/4 dd, but I was hoping there was an easier fix. and.. Thank you!

Speedway has some with a splined end to use on the rack and a smooth end to weld onto an existing shaft, which is what I did. I don't recall the spline size or anything, but I do remember that I used a 3/4" smooth bore on the shaft side. I also ended up using the existing power steering shaft cut to length, chucked it up in a lathe and turned the shaft down to fit. Then, when I was worried about header clearance, I chucked it up in the lathe again and took some of the meat off of the outer diameter of the joint. I have one pic in the post that stout listed above that may be used as a reference to help out.

Looking through Speedway's site, here is a link to the joint I used: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Swee...ine-to-3-4-Round-Mustang-II-Manual,31385.html
