I have 110k miles on my car and I have done the clutch rebuild without any problems. You might as well replace the bearings while you are at it to be on the safe side

look at summitracing.com

They have several levels of rebuild kits.
Replace the wheel bearings and seals while your at it.

Call Randy's ring and pinion. They have all the bearings, clutches, and gears needed for the change. Not badly priced either.

Rear end bearings have a long life and don't neccecerily need to be changed even at 110 K miles. Just not really any wear in the pumpkin. Those bearings will go for a million miles but if you want to change them, its your money. I am getting my 3.73's in on Monday and it runs $175 for an expert racer mechanic to install them correct. It is usually another 100-150 bucks for bearing and clutch rebuild.

Get the rebuild kit from your local Ford Dealer. It's around $60. You might want to do a search on this site for "Trac-loc rebuild." There was a lot of discussion about this a month or two ago when a couple of us were doing the rebuild. I posted lots of instructions on how to do this by reusing two of the old clutches with your new kit to make the rear lock tighter and faster. It's a good upgrade and worth the trouble. The pumpkin bearings probably don't need to be replaced, but you might want to replace the outer axle bearings. They tend to go bad long before the pumpkin bearings do. It will require a bearing puller and press.

eBaymotors 8.8 rebuild search

FMS rebuild kit @ $40

Do yourself a favor and get the rebuild kit with 8 clutches. Ditch a steel spacer from each side and intall the 2 extra clutches instead. Here are some 8.8 Rebuild guidelines I wrote up a while back.
