I'm in the process of upgrading to SN95 brakes. After removing axles, I attempted to reinstall pin into diff but the spider gears moved so the I couldn't insert the pin. How can I realign the gears to insert pin again? Thanks for your responses.
You should be able to move them back into position with a brass drift or similar soft driving tool. Maybe even an oak dowel. Put the drift on the spider gear (pinion gear - the smaller ones) and tap it towards the position you want it. The side gears should rotate and allow realignment. You only have to tap on one of the gears as the other one will also move as the side rears rotate.
