My car threw 8 error codes... But actually only 4 but they were thrown 2 times... The guy at Auto Zone was like what the HE!! You doggin this... Thats when I kicked him behind the head and smashed his face on the concrete and nicely asked him to tell me the codes... HA! Nah but he gave them to me and I need help to get this annoying light off.. I put two new rear Mils on and 2 new O2's... I put a used O2 on the driver front yesterday also... Should I put a newer O2 on the passenger side now too??? I have one... And do I need a new EGR Valve and Sensor and DPFE Sensor??? This is a pain... I cant pass emissions til these things are off and gone for good!!!

P1443
P0155
P0402

P1443- Evaporative Emission Control System - Vacuum System - Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve fault.
P0155 Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit fault - Bank No. 2.
P0402 EGR Flow Excessive at Idle.
P1151 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 2.

Thats what i found out they mean... Now turning them off is a problem!!!!

P1443, you need a new purge valve. i believe its only available from a dealer.
P0155, you need a new O2 sensor on the front drivers side.
P0402, propably a new EGR sensor
P1151, will dissapear when you fix P0155

everytime that ive had a car throw a O2 sensor code it has required a new O2 sensor. they arent really fixable and using used ones isnt the greatest thing in the world because they can be fouled fairly easy.

Yeah I have another front one here... I will try it... And maybe flip the other front one and see what that does... I ordered 2 front and 2 rear from a guy and the 2 rear worked great! I hope the other works... If it doesnt and the flip dont I know it is something else wrong... Emmissions are so expensive to pass... I heard a lot of talk that those flow sensors arent the egr sensor but a DPFE sensor... Silver plate above the driver side head near the firewall... Its suppose to control a lot of the flow... My car has over 100,000 miles so electrical would be going bad....ERRRRRRR

Well I drove it tonight I put in a new o2 sensor... Drove for like 20 miles or so... No check engine light... I turned it off... turned it back on... I pull in my driveway and as soon as I put it in PARK... THERE IS MY FRIEND!!! Mr. Bright Yellow Light!!! So I am thinking has to do with EGR now... Ill try the Purge valve first... then... EGR Sensor... Then DPFE sensor... If they dont work new EGR.... I think I may have solved the O2 thing now...

get the codes pulled again. if its an O2 sensor code you might have to break down and buy new O2 sensors. the EVAP sensor is a given you have to buy that or else the code will throw constantly.

no, PCV and EVAP are totally different. PCV just vents into your intake. the EVAP vents the air/gas from the gastank into the charcoal canister to keep it from going into the atmosphere.

i believe its near the firewall on the passenger side of center. when you get the new one just look around that area and find where it is. there should be an electrical connecter and 2 vacuums lines on it.

The Purge Control Valve is in the passenger side fenderwell. Jack up the front passenger side of your car, take off your wheel and remove the black plastic inner fender liner. The valve is in the upper left corner. It's like a big black bowl with a lid on it. It's got an electrical connector and some vacuum lines going into it. Make sure not to get the lines backwards after you swap it.

I've got that stupid p1443 code. Its bs. can anyone take pics of exactly what this thing is? I know what a charcoal canister is. But how do I know if its the purge or some sensor or whatever? Something is for sure wrong because its thrown the code the last 3 or 4 days in a row. I have a code reader and keep it in my car for this code throwing baby. Also what problems can come from now replacing the sensor or whatever it is? Hesitation.... etc?

Before you throw anymore money at it, check your vacuum lines. It's weird that you got so many codes at once. You might just have a bad vacuum leak. Cuz your EGR and EVAP system work off of vacuum. Plus if you have a bad vacuum leak it could cause you to run lean and that would set off your check engine for a lean or o2 sensor fault. Check all your lines under the hood, and check the fitting on the Purge valve in the passenger side inner fender.
