I thought I would share some pics of the gouge pod that I fabbed up. I wanted 8 gauges, and didn't really want a Shelby pod or a A-piller pod, so I decided to fab something up.

I started with my stock gauge cluster, traced it on cardboard, scaned it into autocad, and then drew in the gauge pattern I wanted. I then had my my 2D drawing laser cut out of 14ga colled rolled steel.

I mocked it into my dash, but it didn't look right so I got some 3/16" square stock and fabbed a perimiter to mimick the look of the stock cluster. I was much happier with the way this looked.

For finish I polished the perimiter piece and clear coated it. After letting that dry I masked off the perimiter and painted the center with a wrinkle black paint.

Here are some pics in progress, and some finished pics.

I just saw this and have no idea if anyone could help but it's worth a shot...

Anyone have a template or dimensions for this? I would love to make something like this. I was going to measure it out myself but if someone has a drawing for it made up and could email it to me or list the dimensions I would very much appreciate it.

I got a buddy with a laser cnc machine....

Those dimensions or a pattern would be worth money to me...

That really looks good, great job.

very nice looking. What size are the gauges? Would you be willing to make one for me and how much?
