8 months and counting

I was in the same boat dude....when we built the TT kit originally it was down 7 months. I HATED that I couldnt drive it I too was getting to the point where I just wanted to sell everything and start driving again. It really almost detached me from the car alot....I LOVED driving it and going that long flat out sucked.

I then told myself...I will NEVER pull it down like this again. I was not looking forward to even putting a forged motor in it. I found out that if I go and do everything at once...it just takes a long time, and then I have nothing to look forward to once its done. After that I just wanted to take my time and slowly add things to it...enjoy it as much as I can and enjoy buying parts for it and modding it as I go along. Ofcourse that all changed when I wrecked.

Im going to do the same with the cobra....just toy with it and do little things here and there to keep me occupied. I really enjoy making stuff for this car...and doing things that most others wont/havnt.

Anyways, just hold in there....and once your done, just enjoy it and drive your beast. Have fun with it and for the most part leave it alone (not that you could really do anything else LOL) for quite a while

Been there and done that. This is one reason why I now have two Mustangs. And I promised myself to get a much better starting platform where I won't have to build or replace everything to make it a fun ride.

When my GT was down all last summer for the build, I did second guess myself, wondering if I should've used that money for a down payment on an 03 Cobra instead. Looking back, it'd probably been smarter if I got another car before building the GT, though everything turned out great in the end. But I do feel your pain. Last summer here was the hottest on record here, and I was stuck driving an old beater that had no AC. And it was frustrating not having my stang for all the local get togethers and Mustang Week.
