What would be a good upgrade package for $800? I've got a few ideas, exhaust, gears, pulleys etc. But what would you recommend? My long term goal for my stang is to break 200mph (not in the 1/4 mile), and I've got to start somewhere.

If you want to break 200 MPH then I would start with body mods. That stock body wont be able to go 200 MPH and stay together. You will need to pretty much rebuild the ENTIRE car. Suspension, engine, body, etc, etc, etc.

Dont do gears, cause they will make it harder to get to 200 MPH. Unless you go to something lower than the stock gears. But then it would be slower than it already is.

Basically its not a gaol for someone with even basic car knowledge. You need a crapton of money, a very good shop, and time.

Basically, 200 MPH is not a realsitic goal unless you own some racing team or something.

you'll need a very areodynamic body, built well, be as low as you can get with a good suspension system, and alot of horsepower. And not to mention a track or something where u can acutally go 200mph.

why dont ya aim for like 12's in the 1/4 to start out

with $800, I'd keep saving up for a good H/C/I

Just aiming high, I know she'll probably never make it there. If I build it up with that in mind, I'm going to end up with a ridiculously fast car. And that's good enough for me.

If you want a fast street car, dont aim for a high top speed, aim for a good 1/4 mile trap speed. 110 in the 1/4 is a good goal.
