On the stock 84 4 barrel intake there are two vacuum switches that at the back of the intake. They are in the water cross over I believe. One of these is green and one is brown. Which one is toward the right looking from the front of the engine.
When I changed my engine several years ago I could not remember which one went where and now I am fighting a lean issue and have been since I put this motor in the car. I am beginning to wonder if having those two switches reversed is at the root of a possible vacuum issue causing a lean condition. I am assuming they activate at different temperatures that is why they are different colors.
Anyone with a stock 84 5.0 carbed engine can you help??
