Hey guys, I can get a set of hedman long tubes in the box for about 100.00, but Id have to make the rest of the exhaust system right?

Or should I just get the shorty to h-pipe to cat back sytem set up?

I dont think that short h -pipes fit the hedman type headers for my car, or do they?

What would you do?

If you get long tubes, you'll need a specific mid pipe to fit them. You "can" just make them, but that's ghetto. If you're already going to be buying something, just buy the long tubes and the h/x pipe that fits them and get it done right.

if you havent converted to dual exhaust already, you will also need the double hump crossmember and h-pipe hanger, along with the proper muffler and tailpipe hangers. get the longtubes and a short h-pipe, lots of companies make them

I have longtubes on both cars, and if I acutally have to buy something else, I will go with shorties. There are a bunch to choose from, and more or less, nearly any catted or offroad pipe will bolt up.

I had stockers for awhile, and they were much easier to install and remove. I could have the entire exhaust off the car in 10 minutes. The longtubes took nearly 5 hours to install, and they I had to get pipes made.

I can't see there being any significant power difference unless you get to real big power levels, like 400+.
