Do you guys think this is a rare car? It is a coupe w/ t-tops. When I used to drive it & was buying parts for it years ago not many people had knowlege of the car. It needs some TLC now as I haven't driven it in about 5 years but just wanted your opinion to see if I should waste my time bringing it back.

They're pretty rare cars to begin with, and a T-top coupe is going to be really hard to find anyway, much less as a GT Turbo. Definitely restore it!

If it is a coupe, its not a true GT. Only Hatchbacks are GT's. I've never seen a turbo Musang coupe from the factory. But if it is a HB and original ,yes it is rare. Just like the SVO's they aren't as much in demand. So their values aren't that high. But I think if you wait a few years and as long as it isn't in bad condition it will be worth something.

Sorry I misspoke. You are correct it is a hatchback. From what I was told it was a mutt car. Ford had some left over GT chasis and turbo coupe engines and stuck them together, thus the GT Turbo name. I have only seen one other and it was an 83' w/o T-tops.

Well it's definetly not a mutt...

It a GT stang with the non intercooled 2.3t and yes they are rare. Production number float right around 3k for 84 and les than 400 for 83.

So you should either fix it up the right way or sell it to someone that will.

Here are a couple of places that you will find alot of info on the car and you can speak with others that really enjoy these car's

You definetly have a rare and fun early fox car.. If you decide to sell it let me know i may be interested.
