84 SVO starting help

the car will start on starting fluid and run.if i shut it off and try to start again it just cranks until i spray it again?has anyone had this problem?this is my first 2.3 build and i have no clue where to start looking for the problem.the car has already been converted to one pump in tank and a la3 ecu swap,35lbs injectors.just wont start unless sprayed

If it'll only start on starting fluid then you're not getting fuel. Check for pressure at the rail and go over everything you just did.

What computer do you have in the car? I my 2.3T stang I had the same problem comes to find out that the computer was shot. Make sure that the fuel pump relay is clicking.(Should be under driver seat)

it has a la3 computer from a running t bird.it starts fine now.maybe the computer was relearning the tune
