Well we got finished converting a buddies 85 TBI GT to carb today, the fuel pump is fine and all that but it is overheating. I was told that it could be the computer advancing the heck of the timing because it is confused with no 02's and no injector information etc but i dont want to waste $500 on a full msd setup. Would the timing advancing cause it to overheat like this? Btw we have tried every normal overheat fix in the book to no avail.
