86 5.0 needs rebuilding...crate 315HP 5.0 for $3200. instead?

What do you think about the Ford crate engine. zthey have a 5.0 long block with GT40 heards. for $3200. What intake shoule I get with that?

Do some more searching,,Ford sells a GT-40 crate motor with 340hp for 3100.

There was a good ad in mm&ff magazine about some company selling crate motors. It said something like "prices that will mkae your friends say what the f***" or something like that. The prices sounded good though.

world sells a man-o-war crate motor, 363" 8.2 deck for 4850!!!!!!!!

should be good for up to 1000-1200 hp.

tried to find the link....... it's not direct from world.... maybe it was a 375" also.....maybe im on crack!

nah, i know i saw it, it was linked on the corral.

I've never owned the crate motors, but I've read that the power levels can range from advertised, to way under. , I know that world products has those engines that can handle a good amt of power, but thought they were more than that. Myabe get a short block, put the rest together,

Just my opinion though.
