86-93 upper intake manifold bolt pattern same as sn95?

Anyone know if a upper intake manifold from a 86-93 5.0HO has the same bolt pattern(interchangeable) as a upper intake from a sn95? I'm buying a adaptor for fitting my sn95 upper intake to a 351w I'm sticking in my 95gt. Its sold on BC Broncos for 100$ and says it allows a 5.0HO upper to mate with a 351w efi lower. The picture shows a 86-93HO upper so I wasn't sure if the 86-93 and sn95 had the same bolt pattern. Here's a link to the adaptor I'm talking about B.C. Next year some time I'm gonna buy a trick flow r series kit for it but I need to use this for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Excellent, that means I can make do with the stock manifolds I have until next year when I can afford a trick flow r series set for my 351w. Yeah this thing didn't exactly jump out at me when I typed "351w intake adaptor" into the browser, it took a lot of searching and some good luck to find it.

I wouldn't waste your money. The Holley Systemax uses a stock truck lower. Just buy the upper Systemax intake piece and put it on the stock lower. It out performs the Trick Flow equivalent in most applications.

Really?, that link goes to something that says its a 5.0l kit. Either way with all the money I'm shelling out this year with buying land and building a house an intake will have to wait till next year. I couldn't find anything that says that manifold fits the stock 351w lower, it all said it fits the 302 lower. Either way I'd also need a throttle body elbow for my bbk tb and egr valve to fit so I'm gonna save my money for now. I'm having the rotating assembly balanced and am using stock rods, crank, and kb hyp pistons. I might decide to throw a small turbo on next year, I already have a turbo kit meant for a 5.0 but can adapt to a 5.8. In that case I might just use a carb style spyder intake and a elbow and not even need a plenum I just don't know what I'll decide to do yet.

Sorry, just to clarify. If you really need to save the money now, buy the adapter. But when it comes to buying a performance intake, you can just use that Holley systemax intake upper and use it with the stock truck lower. When Holley designed the intake, the just used a stock truck lower that was polished up and had the word "Systemax" on it, but it's the same lower intake. The Holley is an excellent performing intake, and it will save you money, and the time of pulling the lower intake again. Now the Ford 351 truck intakes vary from year to year, but if the ports from top to bottom match the gasket pattern in the link below, the Holley intake will fit. This gasket was specifically looked up for a 95 Ford truck with a 351. As long as your ports look like this, it will fit.

If you have that EFI lower intake, I would hunt around on ebay for a good deal on the Holley intake. If you can get one for $150 or so, and swing the money for a throttle body adapter, it's worth not having to buy an adapter for a year, even if money is tight.

only the 302 truck intake has the rectangular ports that match holley.

which is odd cause you'd think the 351 would have those nice big ports.

Some of the 351s do too. The gasket I have above was looked up for a 351.

I appreciate the help Kurt, the lower manifold that came on this 351w dosen't match that gasket you have there. The ports on the lower I have are oval and the bolt spacing is different. Yeah I just want to get the car running for now without having to tune it, I'll tune it next year with the quarterhorse. I'd also hate to buy a upper intake if I do decide to slap on my turbo kit and just go with a efi edlebrock jr. victor and not even need a upper. I'm getting the rotating assembly balanced and will probably just go with a good set of forged pistons so a small turbo will probably be what I go with. Then a cheap set of windsor sr.'s or rhs and I should have a safe reliable 4-500hp. I'll have to stick to street tires so I don't wreck the t-5. My turbo kit was made by pro turbo kits(think they changed their name a few years back) it was designed for the 5.0 but can easily be made to fit the 5.8.

Anyone see a problem with boosting to 4-500hp on a stock crank, rods and forged pistons? They'll be balanced if that makes a difference.

if a 302 crank and rods can take it, then so can a 351.

4-500 hp is not much for a 351

Ive looked really, really hard for a 351 lower like that, never found one, never even heard of one. Also I have never seen a systemax upper on a 351. If you ever find one let me know, Id buy it in a second

4-500 hp is not much for a 351

Yeah I'll probably go a little higher to around a safe 650 or so when I get rid of the t-5. Probably go with a tko600 or something, I heard somebody makes a t56 rated to 750ft-lbs but I can't remember who. I'm pretty sure I'll have to switch to h-beams for 650? Is that correct? I'd rather not chance anything and have a rod throw on me. I hear as long as I keep my rpms under 6000 or so the stock crank should be good? No?
