I didn't know such a car existed. I've never heard of a Capri convertible.

Sure did. I don't think ASC/McLaren made a hard top. I'm not but i think they were all drop tops.

Guess i was wrong. Oh well i'm not a huge fan of them. I see why some people like them but there not my cup of tea. If one was handed to me i would take it but for the money they pull down i don't get it.

I LOVE the hard top ASC/McLarens! The Convertibles I can't stand. There is a dark blue 85 5-speed hard top for sale on my local Craigslist for $4800!!!! It's tempting....

Here is a link I found with a TON of great info on the ASC/McLaren cars.

In 1987 after the Capri was axed, ASC switched to the Mustang. It's worse looking than the Capri.

You rarely see anything about the Capri versions. There's a guy local who DD's a black one and it's in real nice shape.

There is a white Capri Mclaren on ebay right now. I was doing a search and it popped up, main pics are blocked here at work though

yep theres a white one (an 84 i think) about a mile from me that i keep meaning to get some pics of and a guy i know has a 88 McLaren mustang. silver, kinda sharp.
