Well, the pic is of, between the 2 headlights, there is something that looks like a trim piece or some sort of brace, and it's broke.

Good. And don't be mislead, the LS motor isn't magic. The SBF can do everything the LS can do, you just have to know what the hell you're doing, and maybe spend a little more money up front. Shouldn't bother a Ford guy anyway, we're already used to paying a little more for speed, haha.

i totally understand that! it would be a TON of work and wiring nightmare to get a LS motor to work... and by that time you couldve easily built a 302 to make good power.
that link still isnt working for me...

Ton of work? Nope.

The LS motor is magic, my neighbors grandma touched the LS3 and her cataracts was instantly cured, another neighbor simply heard it run and lost 15lbs. I would call that magic.

Well that would mean that the Windsor would do all that and then some, seeing how the LS is a rip off of it...

Your girlfriend had an orgasm and got pregnant when she touched the SBF. Beat that.

A SBF cant do anything an LS can do, its not magic no, but it is engineered better, being an engineer i would think you would understand that simple fact. Its not a 50 year old platform, it has taken cues from every SB ever built to be a better motor. Now combine that with factor heads that flow 300+ CFM and you have a winner.

There isnt an easier way to make 500+ hp with 360 cubes, hydraulic cam and spinning under 7k rpms

If we're comparing factory stuff, yes, the LS is light years ahead of the SBF. But throw the aftermarket into the mix, and it's a much more even playing field, and that's all I'm trying to say. With the right knowledge and budget, a "built" SBF can do everything a "built" LS can do. The LS just happens to roll off the assembly line with much better parts than uncle Henry ever thought to give the SBF. So yes, it is arguably "cheaper" to go fast with an LS, but it is not necessarily the end-all-be-all pushrod V8.

You mean a built sbf can do everything a stock ls can do? Yes. Mod for mod the lsx will always come out on top over a 302.

Nope, I purposely said "built".

Sorry. I've owned and modded both engines. If you are just comparing dyno sheets and peak numbers sure. Real world performance puts the gen III block in front of the sbf.

sounds lame but i'd like to either put a mod engine in my stang or an LSx. Never researched the LSx route but i'd assume it would be difficult.
