I have an 86 LX hatch w/T-tops and 2.3/4 spd. Problems: needs complete rebuild, cam and all; also needs full exhaust, may be able to salvage the manifold?

Also have 97 Merc Grand Marquis. 4.6l 2-valve auto, complete will drive to the shop. Problems: Needs front end, rails OK, rad holds pressure, condinser doesn't leak; vehicle Totaled, paid 500, figured could make money back.

Resolution: one kick'n t-top.

OK with fabrication, harness seperation looks doable on paper, going cheap, but reliable, what's a ballpark on the swap parts? Can I put a pump in my tank? Will stock 5.0 struts/springs hold up to the 4.6? Will reuse GMQ mufflers/cats if possible. I see y'all speak of using 96-up k-members. How about rad-stock 86 5.0? fan, electric or manual?

!fuel milage! I drive pretty easy most of the time, in stock trim, would 18-30 be asking too much? PO of GMQ got 25-28 mostly hwy, I should be in about a ton light shouldn't I?

Thanks for any help.
