car starts and tach works.

this morning when i fired it up I noticed that none of the gauges were working. The clock, radio, power windows, windshield wipers were not working either. After a few minutes everything powered up and worked correctly. I did not throw it back to ACC but I may do this after work. I was 1st thinking it was the main power source from the battery but as I thought about this I am now thinking ignition switch has a problem. What do you think out in Stangnet.....

The ignition switch is the prime suspect. Cost is $13-$15, and may require a special torx driver bit to do the job.

That is what I have been thinking too. Just by how it acted this morning.

I would almost guarantee you its the ignition switch mine did the same thing and when I took it out it looked like it had been on fire

I used a dremel to cut the bolts off mine. those torx bolts suck

i was thinking of a chisel will that work?

Just get the proper Torx for it - if you plan on keeping the car, this is NOT the last time you will do this.

About the Torx. Is it one that need a hole in the bit or is it just a regular one? Also does anyone know the right size?

cut off the dam torx and replace them with standard bolts.
