86 pillar = 87+ pillar???

I require a 3 gauge pillar pod for my 86. I'm sure most of you know that the 3 pillar pods REPLACE the pillar cover in our cars. The trouble is that I can not find one for an 86 and below; they're all 87 and up.

The question is:

Are the pillar covers in 87+ cars the same as they are in the 86?

I think they were the same from 79-93

I hope you're right. I have to wonder why they're all listed as 87-93 and given that the interiors are different, just couldn't be sure.

you could try and find a pillar in a bone yard from a 87-93 ans see if they fit your car.

there is an 86 I think at the scrap yard just 5 min away from me I could take one out of a 87+ and see if it fits the older 4 eye'd ones for ya.

I bet the pillar shape is the same, but the interface to the IP is were the difference is. Some triming of the A pillar foot will probably allow it to fit
