Do you plan to replace the stock 86t flat tops with notched pistons? If so, it will open you up to more head selections and cam. The flat tops are a source of P2V clearance issues with allot of heads. The TFS heads are one of those exceptions. Good luck with your build!

I would probably be a little concerned with piston to valve clearance with that cam if you are reusing the 86 pistons. Other than that it's probably a good combination and should run nice. What gear are you running?

edit: Damn that Dagger is quick on the draw

It will FLY.... the TFS1 cam will be OK but.... always check the p/v when using the flattop no notch 86 heads!!! after the p/v issue is resolved...( advance the TFS1 cam 4* to a better pulse signal to the carb!) run it hard!! and have fun!! cool??

Just me....................

my buddy ran into clearance issues using just e7's and a stock HO cam on an 86 block. It doesn't always work. You're gonna clay for sure. I'll tell you right now, that clearance is close to 0 with e7's, imo, I don't think you stand a chance. Swap out the pistons, or have the ones in that block notched for valve reliefs.
