hey guys, picked up a 88 lx manual windows/ power locks (its been about 4 years since i sold my last one)

i have a wiring harness out of a 89 5.0, wich was a power windows and locks car..

my question is on the body to engine harness connectors

the green one by the pcm and the grey and black ones by the master cylinder(near where the body harness comes through the fire wall)

they match color and shape...the 89 harness has more wires in each connector, where my 88 body harness plugs has a few empty pins...

is this due to power windows and maybe other options that the 89 had?

i was under the impression that 88 and 89 were wired the same on the body side....is this correct?

thanks very much

well i compared to two other 88 cars and the body harness of the donor 89 car, all were the same situation.... less wires one side of the plugs.... not sure why but its normal!

Take a picture of what you are looking at. I have an 88 lx power windows/ power locks with an 89 harness in it. I think I know what you are looking at, but if I can see it, I can confirm it and take some pics of my car.

here is what i got:

88 car w/factory body harness

89 engine harness, w/mass air.....this harness is installed in 88 car with A9P pcm

89 body harness(from same car as engine harness) not installed in 88 car

my original question, was about the 88 body harness having less wires in 3 connectors than the corrosponding connectors in the 89 engine harness........HOWEVER i looked at the 89 body harness and the connectors are also missing the same wires....

I also looked at my friends 89 GT and the its same senario.

i'll take pictures if y'all want but i'm positive its supposed to be that way
